The opportunity

The Sr. Recruiter, Full Desk plays a key role in generating profitable growth for CLS by winning new client business and delivering the talent those clients need.

This role offers the flexibility to focus on business development, recruiting, or a blend of both, depending on business needs and individual strengths. The ideal candidate can build meaningful client relationships, uncover new opportunities, and deliver high-quality clinical research talent while contributing to fulfillment across the broader CLS client base. Performance is measured against both sales and recruiting goals.

The base salary will range from $70,000-100,000 and may depend on geographic location.

What you’ll do

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new client relationships with biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and other organizations requiring clinical research talent.
  • Generate opportunities for CLS services, including contract staffing, FSP solutions, direct hire placements, and related workforce solutions.
  • Lead commercial discussions with prospective clients by presenting CLS services, helping define scopes of work, and participating in pricing conversations aligned with company margin standards.
  • Build and actively manage a pipeline of qualified business opportunities that support established revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Meet and exceed goals tied to new client revenue, gross margin, placements, and candidate quality.
  • Execute full-cycle recruiting activities for assigned roles, including candidate sourcing, screening, engagement, and management throughout the hiring process.
  • Support recruiting and delivery efforts across the broader CLS client base, including roles generated by other team members.
  • Maintain active client relationships to support contractor continuity, assignment extensions, renewals, and additional placements.
  • Collaborate closely with recruiting and delivery teams to understand client requirements and support successful engagements.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, business opportunities, candidate activity, and commercial activity in company systems.
  • Represent CLS professionally in client conversations and industry settings while acting consistently with company policies and core values.

What you bring

  • 6+ years of experience in life sciences or clinical research staffing, with a proven record of both winning new client business and making placements.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales and recruiting goals.
  • Knowledge of clinical research staffing and workforce solutions, including contract staffing, FSP, and direct hire.
  • The ability to develop new client relationships and maintain a qualified pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Experience participating in client-facing commercial discussions, including service positioning, scope development, and pricing conversations.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience, including sourcing, screening, and guiding candidates through the hiring process.
  • A collaborative approach to working with recruiting, delivery, and business development teams.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • The ability to manage client, candidate, and commercial activity accurately within company systems.
