The opportunity

The Sr. Recruiter plays a critical role in CLS’s next phase of growth by driving full-cycle recruiting efforts across our core clinical research functions and helping shape the future of our delivery model.

This is a senior-level role for an experienced life sciences recruiter who thrives on autonomy, values relationships over transactions, and wants to make a meaningful impact on both candidates and clients.

Base salary range is $60,000-85,000 and may depend on geographic location.

What you’ll do

  • Drive full-cycle recruiting across clinical research functions, including clinical operations, biometrics, medical writing, pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and related areas.
  • Partner closely with sales and delivery leaders to design sourcing strategies aligned with each client’s culture and business goals.
  • Build and nurture strong candidate networks with a focus on long-term relationships rather than one-time transactions.
  • Use advanced recruiting tools and platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, AI sourcing, CRM and ATS automation, and outreach systems, to identify and engage top talent.
  • Meet and exceed recruiting KPIs tied to candidate quality, client satisfaction, speed of delivery, and overall gross margin performance.
  • Mentor junior recruiters informally and contribute to the continued refinement of CLS’s recruiting playbook.
  • Represent CLS’s core values and reinforce a culture of transparency, collaboration, and human connection.

What you bring

  • 6+ years of experience in life sciences or clinical research staffing, with a strong record of placements across multiple functions.
  • Proven success in both contract and direct-hire recruiting, ideally within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments.
  • Deep understanding of clinical research roles, terminology, and market trends.
  • Strong sourcing skills, creativity, and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated use of modern recruiting technology, including AI sourcing, CRM automation, and digital outreach.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a self-directed, collaborative, and always-learning approach.
